Lindsey Wright– President
Lindsey grew up in central New Jersey with her mom, dad, and sister and began fostering dogs in need from a very young age. Rescuing dogs became a passion for hers early on, and she decided to go to college for Animal Science and study animal welfare practices in her career. Lindsey works full time at an open intake animal shelter and comes home at night to her husband and 3 dogs. Harley the Doberman, Kovu the pitbull, and Raptor the German Shepherd.
Anthony LaPreta– Vice President
Anthony is a Staten Island native that moved into New Jersey when he met his wife. He is “the German Shepherd whisperer” and has his German Shepherd best buddy by his side at all times. He married into the rescue life and now fosters and rescues all kinds of animals. He is the resident photographer, and takes professional photos of all of the rescue’s dogs. Anthony does not have an animal related job, so he’s all about the doggo snuggles when he gets home from work at night.

Mikayla Allen– Communication and PR Director
Mikayla Allen holds a degree in communications and enjoys crafting meaningful connections through her work. Outside of her professional life, she loves spending time with her four pets—two dogs and two cats—and unwinding with reality TV or hanging out with friends.
Devon Rodriguez-Cayro– Foster and Volunteer Support Chair
Devon’s commitment to animal rescue began in her Pennsylvania hometown, where she started volunteering at her local shelter at just 8 years old. For a decade, she dedicated her time to animal care, organizing fundraisers, and taking part in events like the annual Penguin Plunge. By 18, Devon joined the shelter as an employee, further honing her skills in animal welfare. After moving to Philadelphia, she continued her work, now focused on canine behavior at an open-intake shelter. At home, Devon is greeted by her own rescue crew: Atlas, a goofy German Shepherd; Matcha, a playful Staffordshire Terrier; and her two affectionate cats, Millie and Rizzo.

Ruby Johnson– Adoptions and Foster Chair
With a background in the music industry and live event operations, Ruby stumbled into animal welfare completely by accident in 2019. Throughout the pandemic and the years following she graduated from a small animal lover to the owner of seven wonderful cats, and accepted her official Crazy Cat Lady title with pride. She now spends her free time reading with her cats, hiking the Pine Barrens with her foster dog, and watching cooking shows.
